In the Konavle area, close to Dubrovnik, there is an old railway tunnel that was built by the Habsburgs. It makes a switchback on the mountain to slowly loose height. Now you can walk through it and see the bats that live there. In May the wildflowers leading up to it were stunning! Even in the rain!

"It was a bit challenging finding a room since we were on a trip with a group and the hotel denied several attempts by our group travel agent Gate1 to secure a room night, but through Hotels.com we booked and eventhough we had to move rooms since we had different room types, the experience was quite good overall and easy to get into Dubrovnik on the 6 bus. "

"Great, beautiful. Be sure to walk up to and thru the forest of pines to the other side for more beauty and more noise. The hotel is in the sleepy part of town, so be prepared to Uber into town for some noise and interaction. Overall dreamy place and great checkin and spa staff. This place is great for calm couples, reserved people, quiet time, and okay for families (small playground but nice pool for the kids)."
