"This is a lovely old Inn. We found that there was not good lighting to read in our room and just one chair. As the weather was poor It would have been nice to spend time reading. Ther is a couch downstairs that we could have used. "

"The experience was good and in a remote hill top and access way to ski areas. The app I was not able to download and had a little trouble figuring out where to find food (take out) from nearby restaurants and there was no printed guide to the area. The setting was nice. But I never met anyone from the inn which was a different experience than I am used to. Otherwise everything worked fine. And check out via text was perfect. I would go back again."

"It’s an old inn that has been renovated over the years and still has a country small town feel. The Inn is centrally located in the town so short walks to places to eat or drink are close. The staff and owner are very friendly. My wife and I also enjoyed the farmers market that is on Saturdays right across the street from the Inn."

"This is an historic hotel with a great restaurant and good staff. Comfortable beds. The elevator is one that the staff has to operate for you, so i found myself taking the stairs all the time. Amenities like ice machines, vending, etc are a little more challenging. If you walk down to the desk, they will happily get you a bucket of ice and there are some things for purchase but thats it. Late night dining and drinking in Middlebury are pretty slim to non-existant especially during non school...

"Hyde Away Inn, though rustic and simple, was perfectly enjoyable. Accommodations were spare but comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous and timely. Really a nice place if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The basics were just fine."
