"We liked the location, close to Times Square, but not on Times Square, close to the theaters, but at night there was noise from the street from people leaving Times Square. Not the hotels fault. Just an fyi. Room was small but suited our needs. No dresser but we didn’t need one. Cafe right outside the lobby was great for a quick bite in the morning. "The freehand has excellent character. It has old classic features in the general areas and unique and quirky features in the rooms including hand painted art. Our bathroom was beautifully renovated and clean, but there was not much room for personal items.
The staff was very helpful."
