The host was a great communicator, but there was a bit of a hiccup at checkin. The receptionist said they didn’t have me listed as a renter, so they didn’t have a key for me, but the host was quick with communicating with me and the receptionist to quickly resolve the issue. I don’t have a problem with the host at all, it’s the unit, the building and the parking that I wasn’t a fan of. The parking situation isn’t worth it, our parking space was on the 10th floor, driving up or down the garage always took 10 minutes because of the extremely tight wrap around just to get up and down a level. The building/lobby always smelled like marijuana, the elevator area on the first floor was filthy. The unit itself looks like it might still be getting updates, but it was clean. There was no coffee machine, no tv in the living room (not a big deal I wasn't there to watch tv), the bathtub floor was peeling, the bathtub shower curtain was very cheap (think dollar store curtain). As far as the area and noise level, we were woken up several times at night due to loud cars ramming their engines. It is definitely not a quiet retreat, which they don’t advertise it as that. But just something to take note of when renting this unit. If you plan on doing anything around south beach, Brickell isn’t the place to stay, it’s too far. All that aside, the view was great and the host is a quick communicator. I would just stay in south beach next time, my personal preference.
