"Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

"The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car"

"Great house. Great space both indoors and outdoors. Great location. Each bedroom with its own bathroom. Perfect for family of 4 or 5. Lack of A/C tough when very hot. My suggestions would be some window covers (so easier to sleep in) and get some nicer outdoor furniture so guests can take better advantage of the 2 terraces which are quite lovely."

"Sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Alle benötigten Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Sogar Kaffee (Nespresso) gab es reichlich zur Auswahl. Die Lage ist super, alles fußläufig erreichbar: Bäcker, Restaurant, Lebensmittelladen, Bahnhof, Bootsanleger und See. Kleines Manko: Wie angegeben gab es für die Tochter nur ein Schlafsofa und kein vollwertiges Bett. Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns in einer Notsituation sehr geholfen. Hier werden wir bestimmt wieder hinkommen!"

"The place was absolutely wonderfull. Smelled like fresh wood. Immaculate clean. With all amenities needed. Wonderful trail steps away from the front door. Walking distance to lake and 3 minutes walk to a great restaurant. Donato was a fantastic host. He came over right away when I needed and was always quick to respond. I highly recommend and will definitely come back."
