"Owners have done a nice job of dressing up an older cottage. Was a great landing spot to adventure out of. We didn't spend much time at the place (weather was excellent). Whales, sea lions, and salmon right below the deck. For less mobile people, the access to the water really would be challenging (steep steps and rocky surfaces), but for us and our children it was fine. "Everything was exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Location requires a rental car, but since we had one, it worked just fine. We enjoyed being so close to Herring Cove where we could watch the bears and eagles first thing every morning, and last thing every evening. Can't walk to the ocean, as the forest is too thick. View is beautiful, tho."

"Incredibly beautiful Herring Cove. Eight and one half mile south of Ketchikan. Right on the water. We caught salmon, had a bear amble through the yard at twilight. Saw a humpback whale breach over and over. Caught huge , delicious Dungeness crab. What a fantastic week and for our family the perfect walk down memory lane. Fifty years ago we lived here "

"We stayed at he "New York" location, just on the other side of Creek Street. We loved this part of The Inn, it was really close to everything, cute rooms in a century old hotel. The best part was all the folks working there. Sara picked us up at the ferry and was so nice and helpful. Austin was equally wonderful. A lovely view of the horbour (when not blocked by a cruise ship). Such a wonderful experience!"

"This basement apartment was the perfect cozy spot for my husband and I. We woke up and could see the cruise ship from the kitchen window. The bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. We didn’t use the kitchen during our short stay but it looked well stocked and the coffee was great in the morning. The pictures sent of the entrance were helpful in locating this basement spot.
