The location is amazing. The staff friendly. Very clean.
You pay for the location not for the equipment or state of the room.
I would say, the hotel is rather aged and for one night in Uxmal is definitely Ok.
This destination is a haven for those who appreciate nature. The Lodge in Uxmal exceeds expectations. It is an ideal choice for anyone visiting Uxmal, Yucatán. The nearby Mayan pyramids,. museums, and planetarium are easily accessible on foot. And the Yucatan cuisine at the restaurant hits right everytime.
Ask for Luis for tips and bookings of Jeep adventures and local cenotes.
Amazing beautiful place in the country side of Uxmal. Beautiful resort and very quiet. The only bad thing was the bar tender was a bit of an ass, every other worked was super polite and willing to help you out for whatever you need.
This place is very pleasant! The pool was lovely, the food and service were very good.
However, there are very few services around, and there were very few people
The Lodge at Uxmal is a special place just outside the entrance to the archeological site so ideal for staying at to see the sound and light show at night. The room was comfortable and clean with nice bedding and the place is set amongst trees so there are abundant birds and nature all around. Really lovely. It also has a very nice restaurant so is a great place to base exploring the Ruta Puuc from.
Clean and lovely, in beautiful jungle setting, just minutes from Uxmal ruins. Restaurant/bar on-site is only option for food if you don't have a car, but the service and food were great. We asked for rooms away from the main check-in (it's closer to the road and less private), and though they'd already assigned us 3 rooms, they were happy to accommodate, and changed us to another building. Pools are fabulous--a treat after a day at the ruins.
The lodge was exactly what we wanted, a place to stay on the edge of Uxmal that allowed us easy access to the site. The staff is well trained and caring. The concierge whose name I think is Luis hooked us up with the wonderful guide Wilbert. All good memories from this place.
We had a fabulous time, We went for the ruins but discovered so much more, at the advice of or concierge and new friend Louis ‘Rex’ Chan we went on the Land Rover tour, which ended up being one of the highlights of our 24 days on the Yucatan, Rex’s knowledge of the history of the property was fantastic, his pride in the history and culture of his Mayan heritage came through. we had a truly once in a lifetime adventure..
There’s not a better place to stay while exploring the Ruta Puuc. Room was immaculate and attractive. The restaurant served food and drinks that ranged from good to excellent. Ultimately the convenient access to Uxmal and nearby sites make this a great spot. The only negative is WiFi and cellular signals are minimal once you enter your room.

The Lodge is conveniently located, right outside the gates of Uxmal, meaning that you can walk to the site as soon as it opens to avoid the crowds. The first room we were given had lots of dust on the bedframe and other surfaces and looked old and dated. It also had mould on the ceiling. We requested a move which was freely given and the new room, which was closer to reception, was much better. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and looked after us well at dinner and breakfast, including providing vegan options for one of our party. The sister property, which is the Hacienda located 5 minutes walk away looks beautiful. If we went again, we would probably prefer to stay at the Hacienda, though there is no restaurant there.
The Lodge at Uxmal couldn't be better located to experience Uxmal and other wonders of the Ruta Puuc. Uxmal itself is literally a walk across the driveway. As for the Lodge, the property was a series of contradictions. The included breakfast was excellent and the service delightful. Dinner is served under the same giant palapa, but was something of a mixed bag. The spa services advertised online weren't available during our three day visit. The grounds are being maintained, the pools are impressive and our room well appointed, if a bit dated in the bathroom. Porches with carved rocking chairs and benches front every room. But still, the whole place carries an air of neglect or indifference, as though a classic property from the golden age of travel was just waiting to be nudged into the modern era. Perhaps we were traveling in low season as we were but two of what appeared to be about ten guests. We walked across the highway to check out what we took to be the Lodge's sister property, the Hacienda, and it was even more deserted. Overall the experience was fine, even great in some respects, though just not quite what we were expecting based the materials available when booking the hotel. That said, we would stay here again for the convenience to Uxmal, the pools and overall ambiance, just with adjusted expectations.
Louis met us on arrival and made personal contact with us throughout each day. He made us feel welcome and seen in this magical place.

I love the Lodge at Uxmal for its location next to the archeological site and its excellent restaurant. It is also surrounded and immersed in the local forest so very peaceful. Lots of birds. It is dated, but maintained and clean. It could use a spruce up but is a great place to be to explore the Ruta Puuc. I am just surprised more people don't seem to know about it.
