Great stay in Mérida

Stayed here as part of a longer trip along the Mayan Train route, and thought it was an excellent option: very centrally located to the main nightlife area in Mérida, with great amenities and quality. Would stay here again!

Very lovely staff and hotel. Room was comfortable, if a bit small, but quiet, overall. Compliments to Pedro at breakfast for excellent food and friendly service-thank you. We would return if staying in Merida and did not require a pool onsite.

A very surprising little gem in Merida

The hotel is quiet nice , great location walking distance to all restaurants and bars near La Plancha park, which is one of the newest attractions in the city. Loved the area and I wish I had stayed there longer, as we only stayed one night as we had a flight to catch

Very nice designed hotel with nicely appointed bathroom, great bed and linens. Staff is very warm, approachable and friendly. Location was very convenient to all parts of Merida Centro. Highly recommend

My third stay & very happy I chose this hotel. Staff is amazing, room are great & hotel is convenient. We’ve been traveling for the last 2 years in and out of hotels between Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Siem Reap, Seattle, Cancún & now Merida. I love boutique hotels and Óntico is now on my lists of favorites. It’s a small hotel with a big heart & a mastery of hospitality !!

Very nicely designed small hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Convenient location on a side street. The one drawback is that the WiFi signal was weak, so that the TV usually did not work because it could not stream content. Also was unable to stream content on my personal devices.

The staff was so, so, friendly and helpful! My room was beautiful. The hotel is very modern but the surrounding buildings are dilapidated and un-leading to the eye. The TV WiFi never worked no matter how many times I put in the code but I was not in the city to watch T.V.

Room was very nice and clean. Staff is very kind helpful and friendly. High quality toiletries. Efficient AC. Would be nice to have a small fridge. Sometimes a little noisy during breakfast service. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful modern design. The huge tree in front was an excellent landmark for finding your way back to the Hotel. Only a few blocks away from Calle 47 a beautiful street with many restaurants to choose from.

The staff at the hotel is amazing. They were all very friendly and helpful. At night they were always very aware of who was coming in and out of the hotel. Not that it was in a bad area but I definitely appreciated the attention to their guests safety

Modern little hotel in the center of the city

The hotel is small but fairly new, I loved the long table with a lot of space to put your things, the bathroom has double sinks and it was very modern. The only issue was the water pressure was weird, suddenly spiking as you showered so that made the bath a bit unpleasant. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Another small issue is that there is not many convenience stores nearby so you better get stuff ahead of time or get it delivered. The streets around are also not particularly nice to walk around.

Outstanding!! We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every moment. Great location Amazing attentive staff Spacious rooms Comfortable beds Quality pillows, bedding & bathroom linens Hearty affordable breakfast After the military my career was in hospitality. I was a Chef in charge of numerous restaurants, bars, convention centers & catering for government offices. Event planner. I was also a nationally certified Food Safety Manager. I share that to say I have seen every aspect of hospitality in my career. It’s hard to impress me but Ontico did. Highly recommend & will definitely return.
