Simple but clean and with very nice staff. People very helpful on giving directions and suggestions. Room a bit small but comfortable, with frigobar, air fan .. locker and comfortable. 2 blocks from the beach but areas around a bit odd. But is pretty much the same way of the full neighborhood. I would go back with no problem
I had book two rooms.
Check in was actually good.
When it came to communications the front desk rep, pretty much ignored me because i did not speak Spanish, although i was using Google translate. She would only communicate with my girlfriend.
I tried asking questions about the bar that we believed to on property, the desk rep tried sending us as families with kids, to adult bar down the street. This became frustrating as mentioned above, after letting the hotel rep know sevetal times we had children and could not take them to a adult show, and being late at night.
There is no on property bars as specifies in Expedia hotel amenities. Therefore we could not enjoy some late evening cocktails.
The hotel specifics need to be updated.
Despite the negative comments about the hotel on expedia I choose to give it a try. The hotel was better than I expected. I been to other hotels in the area and they are rundown and more like motel/ hostals. This hotel is renovated and decor is beautiful. Per staff was just renovated 10 -15 days ago. My room space was smaller than expected but very nice. It needs more space for lugagge and to move around. The advertisement on expedia mentions there 2 bars on the permises but thier is none. No food at the hotel but their is places to eat nearby. The staff mention they will soon have a restaurant. I didn't use the pool area , the area looked nice but the pool water looked a bit cloudy. The beach is 2blocks down very acessible and the hotel provides you with beach towels and also towels for the pool area. When I arrived my room wasnt ready it was ready 40 min later. Most of the staff at the hotel is very nice and willing to help. Very nice experience and restful stay. The hotel has very nice instagram picture areas.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure was very bad. The hotel is very rundown and outdated. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The area felt relatively safe and was very close to the Malecon. No parking though- you have to park ion the street.
