The Hotel Santa Ana is a lovely, small hotel right in the heart of Merida. I spend 3 nights there. I enjoyed the small footprint of the hotel and its location. My stay would have been perfect except for 2 issues…1) due to its close proximity to one of the ancient churches in town, I was woken up by the church bells early in the morning. The hotel does not control this, but I want potential guest to be aware of it. 2) the hotel does not have an elevator, so if your room is in the second floor, be aware that you’ll have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs (reception is in floor zero, so having a room in the 3rd floor means many stairs). Other than that, this is a great bargain hotel with a lovely restaurant. Breakfast was delicious too.

Little gem in the middle of Merida. Great friendly staff, very helpful. Shout out to the reception staff.You can ask about everything. Close to Santa Ana eateries. 15 min walk to Plaza grande and 15 min to Walmart.

A True Gem

Wonderful experience! Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and common areas were nice and relaxing. Best of all was the staff who made us feel so welcomed and were very helpful with all our questions. Will definitely choose to stay here again if my travels take me back to Merida!

We live in Merida. We needed a conveniently located hotel with parking for New Year's Eve. We had dinners and parties located within a 6 block radius of the hotel. Our experience couldn't have been better: a friendly welcome, convenient parking, a clean, comfortable room and a very reasonable price. This is a great place to base yourself if you intend to explore Merida or the Yucatan.

This was our fifth time staying at the Hotel Santa Ana. It is a truly charming hotel. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. It has a lovely courtyard with a small pool. However, it is not a luxury hotel. The furnishings are simple. The WiFi can be spotty. There is no elevator. Still, it is one of my absolute favorites. I look forward to returning soon.

Charming modest hotel right off of a small pretty square. Older style hotel rooms around a pretty, clean pool surrounded by native plantings. Friendly helpful staff. Convenient parking in a safe lot. We'd stay here again.

The staff--every one of them we interacted with--were friendly and helpful. The common area is large and has different spaces to use for reading, enjoying the pool or sitting and using the computer. Quiet at night and conveniently located near Paseo Montejo for walking. Really enjoyed our time there.
