"Room was clean and beds comfortable. However they need to put exhaust vent and grab bars in bathroom. Also bathroom door did not close well-it was binding around the frame. Looked like they were in process of renovation as many mattresses piled up outside by a dumpster on property. Food items at breakfast were so-so"

"We love staying here. The hotel and staff are great. The internet is a real issue and staff will do all they can to help, but it is beyond their control. We had to call a number and it took over 30 minutes for them to get us service. They had to individually authorize each of our devices to get online. Very frustrating. If you don’t need/want internet, the hotel is great and in a great location for UW Stout!"

"Beautiful lakefront property with a large spacious home. Definitely impressed with all the home amenities offered - including wooden stairs to lake, fire pit by lake and dock, available porches, grilling room, game room, exercise room, and two large bedrooms with large lake view visa. My family enjoyed the common meeting areas - massive living room area (looks like one part used to be a dining room?) - but also lots of areas in home for small group privacy. Outdoor yards provided enough room for young children to run around and explore. Minor disadvantage was the layout of the kitchen which limited you to one cook by the stove and sink (at a time) and the lack of space moving around the ample sized kitchen table. My family would definitely return to this home if we were visiting Menomonie again - everyone enjoyed their stay."

"Good for the property working to put new mattresses in the rooms but stacking them all over in the hallways and side rooms is not a plus especially when i paid over 400/ night. That and barely getting a cup of coffee in the morning. Negotiating the parking lot around all of the people who are obviously living there long term was less than ideal. Room was very small but clean. "

"Stephanie is absolutely delightful! Wonderful knowledge of the community and the history of Oaklawn Inn and Menominee in general. This is a charming and thoughtful bed-and-breakfast. Speaking of breakfast… it was great! A special bonus is the large wraparound screen porch with lots of comfortable seating. We will be back in September and we’re going to book now. "
