"Darren, the homeowner and innkeeper, met us at the door to this lovely home/inn. He welcomed us with a smile and conversation about the history behind Sassafras Inn and Mena, We sat and visited for about an hour. Our suite was extremely large, (2 rooms), complete with coffee and refrigerator. He then provided us with his homemade, organic blueberry muffins that were to die for. Very cozy atmosphere and a soft bed was just the remedy for a long day in the road. Highly recommend this wonderful place. Will stay again!!"

"This place was amazing! The view will blow you away. The entire back side of the house is windows, allowing you to view the river the house sits on anytime you want. Or you can sit on the deck, lay on the hammock, listen to music and relax to the sounds of the river and nature around you. We'll definitely be going back"

"We were very pleased with the rental it was just as shown in the photos and very convenient to the Wolf Pen Gap ATV trails. Lots of room for parking trailers and a great deck for cooking out and visiting with friends. We loved the house and would definitely stay here again."

"This cabin was simple amazing! It is centrally located on a dead end street in the middle of the Wolf pen Gap trail system. Everything you needed was there and the owners were very friendly and super easy to deal with."

"We stayed 1 night in this unit at the historic Shaver House in Mena, AR. It was super cute and great for a 1-night stay. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious - especially warmed up a little in the microwave! The unit is in a shed-type building in the backyard of this restored historic home. It is essentially a bedroom (with a microwave, minifridge, coffeemaker and TV) and a bathroom. There is not a lot of room to move around inside the shed. The outside area is fantastic - a big fire pit, seating, and hammocks. But I think it is a stretch to describe this unit as a "farmhouse cottage"."

"Property was exactly how it was described, but add some special touches. The host was very attentive, our family waited to get there to go grocery shopping, good thing!!! The host had so many extras there, every spice you can think of, popcorn, coffee, creamer, flour, even vanilla, and oils. We were amazed. The kitchen had labels and was orginized perfectly with plenty of seating for the entire family. The beds were comfortable, air hockey table was fun, and the hot tub was perfect after riding trails allday. Last but not least, the welcome committee, the sweet neighbor dogs, we are animal lovers and these well behaved sweeties, happily visited everyday. We can't wait to stay here again or maybe even at your property down the road. If I could grade this place and host.... hands down, A+++++"

"We had a great peaceful weekend away to enjoy riding our ATV in WPG and beautiful scenery. The cabin has everything you need just bring yourself, clothes, and food. Very clean cabin"
