"We never got to meet Monia, as she was away, but her brother, Mauro, took excellent care of us. He met us at the bottom of the hill and escorted us to the house and showed us around. He responded immediately to texts and questions, and gave us wonderful recommendations (we loved touring the olive oil mill that he takes his family's olives to). "Santa Maria is a stunning property in a beautiful & quiet location ideally situated for Orvieto. The apartment was comfortable & well equipped. The owners were most helpful & pleasant. We loved their collection of animals: 2 friendly dogs & an assortment of cats & peacocks. We also enjoyed being able to pick vegetables from the owner’s garden. The swimming pool was wonderful. A very enjoyable stay."

"Wonderful apartment in perfect location central to Orvieto. The two floor accommodation has all the amenities for a great stay, including a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the main street through central Orvieto (quiet street, no traffic allowed). Location is fabulous with easy access to all of Orvieto’s famous attractions. Would definitely stay there again!"

"As others have said, even more lovely than photos. We were 8 couples aged 23-77 for a week with room for more. A real advantage is the en suite bathroom situation, albeit some bathrooms and showers roomier than others. Highlight is outdoor dining patio where we took all meals given the mild September weather. "We had a fantastic time at Aethos Saragano. We stayed for a week in one of the village rooms. The room was clean and comfortable and well kitted out. The restaurant, Ceci, is fantastic - we ate there four nights, and could have happily had done more. The view from the restaurant and terrace is amazing - rolling Umbrian countryside as far as the eye can see.
