We have stayed in many hotels around the world and I have never been negative about any of them. You get what you pay for and we always take that into account.
This place however was a huge disappointment considering the price paid.
We only booked it because of its proximity to a wedding we attended. When we arrived there were no staff, we had no idea how to access our room and there were keys that you had to know the code to before you could use them.
We rang a number but was told she no longer managed the place, rang another number, which was not answered. There had been no communication to us via txt, email etc. When finally we were rung back we were told to go back to Sassafras to checkin. The checkin place was in a shipping container with no signage and we were asked to pay a bond. At this point we had half an hour to get to the wedding.
Finally when in the tiny room in the house we noticed the glass shower in a corner of the room. Luckily the toilet had a tiny tiny room of its own. Even what should have been a lovely view was marred by what looked like a heap of rubbish!
Even the so called breakfast was not on the premises but back in the town. Luckily that was good. We were told that the place had been sold and was in transition between owners . My advice to the new owners would be to sack the current management company and do it themselves or get someone better.
We made the wedding just! Very disappointing!
