"The cottage is very welcoming and is equipped with everything that you may need. It is very central to the lovely village with shops and pub almost within touching distance. The off-road parking is a boon although there was always space on the road if more than one car was used. All-in-all an excellent stay and no doubt we will return as there is so much to see in the area and the cottage makes a wonderful base."

"Modern, clean stay in Loughborough, close enough to the high street, parks, and shops. The place was great for our little family and hosting the cousins we came to visit for a little sleep over thanks to pull out couch. Well equiped kitchen, and parking was right in front. "

"Absolutely perfect. Instructions are very clear , place was pristine . I was surprised at the size of the property as I thought it would be smaller . Good size bedroom,kitchen, living space and even the bathrooms was good with a rainfall shower and normal wand (I’m 6ft4 so that makes a difference ) very handy and detailed handbook helping you with any questions or queries. Communication was excellent from the host. Really pleased with my overall experience "

"The quality of the property, particularly the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, is a bit shabby - feels more like a 'Home of Multiple Occupancy' than a holiday cottage. The big living space is great, though, ideal for the ten adults and 2 children in our group. The kitchen needs some TLC - the equipment is old and some of it not very good (the can opener doesn't work, the cafetiere leaks coffee grounds into your mug, one of the kettles is a bit ropey) but the mezzanine style works well in terms...

"We stayed at The Lanes as we were attending a family wedding nearby at Haarlem Mill. It totally exceeded expectations. Firstly, and very importantly for me, it was absolutely spotlessly clean. I am extremely sensitive to dust and so typically staying anywhere away, my dust allergy will be set off. Absolutely no issue at The Lanes as everything was beautifully clean. "Great location, helpful hosts. Property a little tired in parts with upgrades an ongoing process. Some areas need early attention and a welcome pack of essentials, which we would happily pay for, would be useful. Adding WiFi would also be great."
