"The staff is very kind, pleasant and professional. The lodge is quite quaint. Sheets are a little scratchy. Quite comfortable and good value."

"Being right in the center of town made it very convenient to the shops and eating establishments. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom (especially the shower) was a plus. The toilet was very low to the floor, so us being an older couple, found that to be problematic, but other than that, we had no complaints. Breakfast was well stocked and provided a great many choices. We would definatley go back for another stay."

"Very well stocked home with all the necessary supplies needed for cooking or grilling out. Beautiful home with great views of the river. We didn’t see any bear, however there was plenty of wildlife around. From ducks to geese and beaver's swimming the river, it wasn’t surprising to see a snake. Only 3 fish were caught, but to be fair we didn’t try to hard and it rained several of the days we were there. "

"This was a great place for a quick trip. The buildings are dated but tge rooms have been updated. You are close to all the Blue Ridge areas/cities. As for safety, the hotel has upgraded to electric locks, in case anyone is worried about safety."
