Pass the sparkling summer months by sunbathing on the lake beach at Legacy Park, four miles north, practicing your drive at the McCall Golf Club, six miles northeast, and hiking through Ponderosa State Park, six miles north. Come wintertime, you can ski and snowboard all season at Brundage Mountain, 14 miles north.

Cool spot and great house for 4 to 6. We'll stocked. Internet was good, tv options. Proximity to town. Parking was good. No garage access to store things.

The only reason I didnt give a 5 star overall rating was because there was never hot water in the master shower and because we didnt have a signal most of the time through Verizon. Calls were lost consistently. Also, wifi and a porch swing would have made great additions to our stay.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. Quiet wooded neighborhood just minutes south of town. Well-appointed kitchen with just about everything you need for making meals and a nice gas barbecue on the deck. Be aware that there is no internet/ wi/fi (we were able to utilize a hotspot) and no A/C (but the house stayed fairly cool for us during the day despite very warm daytime temperatures when we visited). The outside deck is great for enjoying the beauty of McCall.

House is cozy and clean. It could use some technology updates, maybe smart tv. It’s 2022! we were aware of no WiFi but we couldn’t even connect our devices to tv to keep kids entertained. Our cell service was not that great in the area and couldn’t even open work emails.

Seriously the cleanest vacation property we have ever stayed at. We loved the wrap around deck, comfortable beds, cozy furniture, the yard games that were available for our use, the close proximity to a walking path down to the river, and the quiet neighborhood. We knew that there was no Wifi or smart tvs/streaming services available, so we came prepared with DVDs to watch with our kids. The only disappointment was that the DVD player was constantly skipping and not functioning properly. I would suggest the owners replace that. Otherwise, we loved our stay and plan to book again!

The home is clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything we needed. The location is fantastic. It’s about 10 minutes to downtown McCall, in a small residential neighborhood, nestled in the trees. It’s private and quiet, but not remote. And I’m basically in love with the porch which wraps around 3 sides of the house. We really enjoyed sitting out there each morning with a cup of coffee, enjoying the peace and quiet, and watching the deer walk by. I can’t wait to go back!

Loved the house…clean, spacious…for us location was perfect . Master shower was great, 2nd ba shower water didn’t stay hot. Biggest negative for us was that there was no WiFi at property…that would probably prevent us from staying at that home again. Was not walking distance to town but didn’t matter for us this trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend at the Great Basin Getaway. The corner fireplace in the master bedroom was a great surprise and a huge hit! The house was VERY clean, nicely decorated, and extremely comfortable. We will definitely return...in maybe warmer weather so that we can really enjoy that wrap-around deck! THANKS!

We loved our stay in McCall. The home was beautiful and very clean. It was a 25 minute drive to Brundage Mountain where we spent most days snowboarding. Downtown McCall is cute and quaint with great local restaurants. We would definitely rent this house again.

This place was everything it was advertised to be. It was so much closer to the lake than I expected as well. Everyone was comfortable, the open floor plan was great for family time, and the wrap around porch was the best during the snow flurries we watched while sipping hot cocoa. I would definitely recommend this place and will be 'bookmarking' for a future date! thank you so much

My husband and I loved staying in this beautiful home with our son and his family. We have stayed in many rental vacation homes, this home was By far the best maintained. The owners have thought through every detail, and pretty much have any item that you may need. The layout of the home is perfect and the many windows provide beautiful views. We loved the quick walk to the river, the scenery was breathtaking. The wrap around porch was the family favorite. There is plenty of parking. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. At first we thought the location would be to far away from shops and dining and the lake but the drive is definitely under 10 minutes from town. We took our boat out everyday. We loved watching all the deer in the neighborhood. We wanted a home with a TV, this home has a TV but we were so busy we never turned it on. The home is very clean, we absolutely felt welcomed in this home. Can’t wait to go back for another visit at this home. Would definitely recommend this home to everyone!

This was our first VRBO experience. I’m glad it was at this property. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Close to the grocery store. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. I felt safe and relaxed. It was a bummer that all the access points to the river from the house were marked private property, BUT the state park is just a short drive from the property and we got in a lot of lake time instead. The only things I’d change would be adding WiFi and a pillow top to the master bed.

We really enjoyed this beautiful home in a great area. We were close enough to McCall but far enough away to feel like weren't in the middle of the crowds. It had everything we needed! Since we knew there wasn't WiFi, we weren't surprised and never really needed it anyway. There's a great creek down the road where we waded with the kids and caught (and released) frogs.

We stayed for the Fourth of July weekend. Our original place had an unfortunate situation take place so we were routed to this location. Silver lining actually as it was a wonderful home and in a beautiful location. Fully furnished and very well stocked. Props to Julie from Vacasa for saving the day for us. Would rent again for sure!
