McAllen has grown a lo in the last few years. I used to work in Pharr which is next to McAllen and seeing all the new businesses in the area makes me happy. Now people in the area do not have to travel to faraway cities to shop, dine or enjoy a day.

I would recommend to go during weekdays and not in holiday weekends, I was there on a Monday-Tuesday and the stores were not crowded but employees will tell us that during the weekends it gets pretty crowded

"I recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham McAllen Convention Center and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and attentive—always with a smile. From check-in to breakfast service, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
The hotel is fantastically located, just steps from the McAllen Convention Center, making it very convenient for attending events. I also appreciated the dedicated workspace area—it was great to have a comfortable spot to check emails and work on tasks.
Special thanks to the breakfast team: your service was prompt, courteous, and delightful. Overall, the combination of prime location, great amenities, and outstanding staff made this stay memorable.
