"workmanship of motel was very poor even though quality materials were used For example, plumber has hooked the hot cold water reversed ceiling splitting and bubbling painter got a lot of paint on chrome towel rack floor molding separating from wall bathroom door hung crooked so cannot be closed without major pushing and scraping the bottom across the tile floor minifrig very mini and no freezer predict deterioration of unit in spite of responsive staff. staff cannot fix poor workmanship"

"Spacious and very nice room in a new property very conveniently located on the highway at the edge of town. Just minutes away from shopping, dining, marinas, and local attractions like Carlton Landing and Lake Eufaula State Park. Large bathroom with separated toilet, sink, and walk in shower. Definitely would book again."

Extended Stay America Suites McAlester Hwy 69

"The entire place had a very unpleasant odor. I realized being an extended stay there were a lot of groups staying there so it was more apartment life vs hotel life. I wouldn't want to stay there again but I survived. The staff was amazing and very helpful! The tenants not so much. The lobby floors are an accident waiting to happen! Slick as snot! It was raining while we were there so we were extremely careful when coming in with wet feet. Anyway stay at your own risk!"

Candlelight Inn & Suites Hwy 69 near McAlester

10/10 Excellent

"This was our second time staying here. It was just as great as the first time. The place is clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will likely stay here again. The ONLY downfall is the access to the parking lot. The hotel sits on top of a hill, on a busy 4 lane highway. If you are coming from the north, there is no turning lane to turn into the parking lot."
