"This was probably 4 stars 20 years ago but not now. The hotel requires some redecorating. Our room an bathroom were really small. It was 33-34 C when we arrived and nobody at reception told us that the air con had not been working for 10 days. We only found out when we got to the room and found a badly functioning fan. The sink was blocked and we couldn't use it for a day. We requested 2 additional pillows 3 times but we never got them. The staff at the reception had no customer service skills...

Big bathroom, great linens and strong AC to keep it cool during hot days. The beach club was our favorite amenity. Not only is it beautiful, but lounge chairs and an umbrella and towels were included with your room. Which is great because they go for $100 euro to the public. The beach club staff was amazing as were the cocktails and lunches. The property is close enough by taxi ($20 euro) to either side of Taormina town center. We would absolutely stay at La Plage Resort again! "
