"Tembo House was one of the most beautiful and unique hotels my wife and I have ever stayed it. It is walking distance to the heart of Stone Town and the Freddie Mercury museum, also has stunning views of the water and all the boats. Comfortable, clean, vibrant, and gorgeous! The staff was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. They were nice enough to hold onto our bags in a secure room while we went on safari for a few days as well. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in Zanzibar!"

"My third stay here! I love Zanzibar and love staying here. It's so convenient to everything and the staff are exceptional. Big Joe is always there to welcome us! The only areas of improvement for me was that wifi was very slow in some rooms and spaces and the long nails of the spa ladies did not provide for an optimal experience. Other than that - 10/10."

"Tulia is truly a amazing hotel that goes long over expectation. Everything from the lovely garden, to the farm where the grow all vegetables to the food, the beautiful setting and design of the hotel, ocean views, coctails, nice spa, free sups and cayaks and sailing, to the most friendly staffs and great service from the first minute you arrive until you check out. It is a truly gem! I rarely give a 5, but Tulia is one of a kind! "

"My wife and I spent eight nights in August and enjoyed our stay at the resort. Our bungalow was very comfortable, and if you're looking for a quiet location where you can walk without sandals directly onto the beach, this is the place. The resort does not have fridges or TVs in the rooms to add to the laidback experience. The staff was very professional and assisted us with offsite trips, shopping areas, and arranging transportation. There are two restaurants; both are very good, but our favorite was the one situated on a pier overlooking the water.  Located on the east side of the island, low tide occurs every six hours, meaning you can't swim but can safely walk out almost a mile. The resort has sunbeds on the beach and next to the beautiful pool."
