"me and my partner went in and the place was run down the room was dirty the door was stiff wouldn't shut the window was cracked the pillows was ripped the toilet was needing a good clean me and my partner were lucky to book something else wee walked out couldn't stay there the owner stayed in the house next door were wee got the key it was very disappointing put it this way doesnt look like whats in the pictures showing on line a wouldn't recommend this place to anyone stay clear ...."

"Absolutely fantastic - an incredibly beautiful property in a lovely quiet street. The room was so comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a fantastic bathroom. Breakfast, which you order the evening before, was absolutely delicious and Alison was a fantastic host. "Lovely inn along a beautiful river. Arrived late due to car troubles. Kitchen was closed and owner graciously offered to make something, which we very much appreciated. Volunteered to help with our tire issue but in the end rental car company sent some one. Would recommend to anyone."

"Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."
