"It was just what we were looking for.The views are stunning and all the facilities that you need are there.The pool is well maintained and the hosts could not be friendlier.It is the place to go if you to want to forget about all of the troubles in the world."

"We had such a lovely week staying at Jemma's house. We were a multi generational group of 17, ages 1 -90 and the house suited everyone perfectly - One bedroom being on the ground floor was perfect for grandparents and there were stair gates and everything we'd need for a baby too. The house itself is lovely and had great areas for everyone to sit together in, which we find hard to find when renting houses for a larger group like ours.Jemma and Ann were quick to deal with any issues that arose and helpful with any recommendations in the local area. We'd definitely recommend the house and will definitely be back in the future I'm sure!"

"We had a wonderful week in La Romieu and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The location is beautiful: peaceful, full of character and surrounded by stunning countryside. La Romieu and nearby places such as Condom are well worth exploring.The property is fantastic for a large group. There were 28 of us and we made some brilliant memories here. The pool, outdoor space and setting make it a very special place.There are some areas for improvement. Our main concern was damaged tiles around the pool, which we discussed with the owner and were told would be repaired. Some sun loungers would also be a welcome addition. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing that spoiled our holiday.Our main disappointment came after leaving. We received upsetting messages about cleaning and were initially told we had not paid the 280 cleaning fee. Our receipt confirmed we had, which the owner later acknowledged. We accept guests should leave a property respectfully and genuinely believed we had done so. With 28 people staying for a week, a few minor things may have been overlooked, but clearer departure instructions would have avoided much of the misunderstanding. To her credit, the owner acknowledged communication could have been clearer.Also check bedding and towel arrangements before travelling, as these cost extra.Overall, a beautiful property in a wonderful part of France. With improved communication and some maintenance, this would have been a 10/10 stay."
Large, completely renovated country house with swimming pool

"A superb property in a very rural location. The house was spotless and a perfect size for our group of 15 (8 adults and 7 children aged between 6 and 13).The pool is beautiful and a great size to allow for proper swimming as well as the splashy games for the kids. The kitchen and communal areas both inside and out are really spacious and there is more than enough seating for everyone. The outside space is outstanding with a quieter shaded area by to pool and the addition of the patio cover is brilliant.Communication with the hosts was great and although we didn’t need anything while we were there, the information provided was excellent. It was really hot while we were there and there is A/C in the upstairs rooms where the children were sleeping. However the whole house was cool throughout even in the rooms without A/C as long as windows and shutters were closed during the day and open at night. I can’t fault this property, it is beautifully renovated and has everything you could possibly need for a fabulous family holiday. We have stayed in many properties in France over the last 30 years and I can easily say that this was the best we have ever rented."

"The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very efficient heating in the room. Food was great. The only ‘down’ was the room smelt of disinfectant with a Lino floor. Almost felt like a hospital?"
