"Place is ok but a few annoying things. Finding the place was not so easy. Also unexpectedly had stairs leading up to the apartment. The bed was not comfortable and pretty noisy. Blinds really don’t block out enough light. And there was no shampoo or shower wash. Pretty basic miss. "

"The breakfast at Hotel Akureyri was fantastic! Waffles, eggs, fresh bread and rolls and fresh fruit among other delicious goodies! The hotel was in walking distance to many activities in the area and the staff was super helpful in finding a place for dinner. The rooms were very nice. The only negative side to this hotel was a lack of laundry service. When I booked this hotel in July 2025 for an April 2026 visit, the booking site said Hotel Akureyri had laundry services. They did not. But the rest of my visit there was amazing "

"Rooms are clean and have a view. Breakfast is good but very busy, tables filled up fast even at 7am. There were lots of skiers and families around with small children. "
