"It was right on the beach! Great staff! Rooms are great but #9 was right by kitchen, so avoid that room."

"Very friendly staff everywhere ,I could mention a few (alibaba ,Suleiman, the waiters animation front desk they are all a good team).the Villas are perfectly designed and decorated .they compound is kept clean all through. What I wasn’t really pleased was the variety of foods, I missed local foods on the daily basis ! The drinks on all inclusive were terrible especially the juices ."

"This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat..."

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! This resort was very clean and exceeded our expectations! The food and drinks were great. The staff was very friendly. We would recommend to anyone! We used the spa as well and it was 100% worth it."

"We loved having a 3 bedroom suite with a living area and private baths for all. So nice to be all together yet in our own space, The food was good and the service was too! Unfortunately the property isn't licensed. That's the only hesitation I would have on returning."

"Vi havde generelt et godt ophold. Servicen var god, og de ansatte var imødekommende og kommunikerende. Værelset var fint, og AC virkede upåklageligt. Eneste minus var badeværelset, som var uden afskærmet brusekabine og bestemt ikke lever op til standarden for et godt hotel. Hotellet har god beliggenhed helt ned til havet, og stranden er dejlig og umiddelbart mindre turistet end andre steder på Zanzibar. "

"This a great hotel, suitable for those on a budget. It is really laidback and peaceful and great for anyone looking to get away from the stresses of everyday life. This is the second time my husband and I have used this hotel and since our last visit there is a welcoming new reception area. The rooms are clean and spacious. Would recommend this hotel to others. "

Peaceful oasis

"We had an amazing stay at Sunshine Marine Lodge. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The reception team helped with arranging tours and activities - we especially loved the tour of Stone Town! The hotel also offers transfer services from the airport, which was really convenient. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful. The food was also great, especially the fresh fruit at breakfast and the daily specials for lunch and dinner. Cannot recommend this stay enough!"

"I was completely satisfied staying at this property. The staff was wonderful. Any excursions outside the property were handled for us with a fair charge, including transportation. The restaurant staff was also friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. We had a walk out directly to the beach room and it was the best choice! A beach walk during low tide was arranged for us with a guide and was so fun and interesting. The beach right in front of the hotel is great with minimal interruptions from beach boy sellers. The ambiance was quiet, classy and elegant overall. A perfect place for a honeymoon! I didn’t want to leave! "
