The kitchen is well-equipped and beds are comfy. Walk across the dunes to the beach or drive around with your 4-wheel drive! The beach is quiet, waves are hypnotizing, and birds are mesmerizing. Pack your sunscreen, a good book, bug spray, fishing gear, boogie boards, and cooler for the best day ever!"

"Nice little house on the river in Matagorda. The house was the perfect size for the two of us. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the mornings on the back deck looking out over the river and marsh lands. The furiture was comfortable and the house was clean when we got there. We ended up sleeping on the futon in the livingroom because the portable a/c unit in the bedroom was super loud and the bed was super soft in the middle. The dock light was nice, but did attract alot of bigs when on. FYI- the water has a bit of a sulfur smell, so we used bottled water for coffee. Parking was good and having an outdoor sink was nice when fishing on the dock to rinse off my hands. We used the hose to rinse of fishing poles and feet when we came back from the beach. All in all a great place to stay for the price."
