"We had 16 family members staying at the house and swimming in the pool with daily trips to Pisa, Lucca, cinque terra and more local attractions. We cooked dinner almost every night and eat outside under the stars. The house was wonderful. The only thing that you should be aware of, is that the house is at the end of an unpaved road with switch backs so be prepared."

"Wonderful countryside estate in a great location. Charming house on an olive farm. It is in a quiet, private area and is very relaxing. Beautiful views and lots of room for kids to run around and explore. The location was also excellent for day trips to Florence, Pisa, Vinci, even the coast. The property was spacious and clean. The host was always available and very responsive/helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"A beautiful, relaxing property with incredibly kind and professional staff. Villa Lena has a character of its own that feels truly personal. We loved the design of the rooms and the touches of art throughout. The food was delicious and you could tell care was taken with its making. And again all of the staff was incredibly friendly and it was easy to get help when needed. We traveled here with two children and greatly appreciated all the support from the staff. "After a curious approach. The owner met us there and showed us around. It was a very quite, beautiful mountain apartment. Details outdoors were evident and comfort inside was great. This is just a peaceful beautiful place which capped of our italian tour perfectly. To return i would stay at least 3 nights. It is worth it. The area is stunning with many things to do"

"A family-friendly place to stay: The "double quadruple" room had 4 twin beds, two of which were licated in a kind of loft; the room was supplied with kids' games and toys. Fabulous breakfast. The receptionist was extremely helpful in finding information and making recommendations for us during a train strike that (pardon the pun) derailed our plans. The location, between the old city walls and the train station, was convenient and surprisingly quiet. Things were pretty basic in the room. Decor was haphazard and the closet space pretty tight. No iron or ironing board. Teeny shower. But we were not there for the amenities, and the staff was terrific. "
