"It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge."

Sakai, is a far place, and it is pretty old and run down, but it would all be worth it for the crab. Tasteless and poorly prepared. Like it came from the fridge to perhaps the microwave in some cases and then to our table.
