"This is a stunning hotel in an old monastery, it’s a lovely base. Really amazing views and we loved the outside space. Rooms in old building so very atmospheric. Breakfast can be bought there, basic toasts and coffee but really good and reasonably priced But! It’s up a very steep hill It’s only staffed a few hours in the morning The pool is only ‘in use’ (I assume cleaned?) June onwards"

"The place is a must if you do Caminito Del Ray. The view is amazing and service was very good. The hotels rooms are cozy with 2 spaces. We got a small livingroom with TV and fridge. Then you take a narrow snail stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Fun for one night, don't know if I would have liked it for more. Take note that the road to get there is in the mountains, so very narrow abut a lot of parking spot available. You can leave your car there to go to Caminito Del Ray by bus (2.5 euro for all bus during one day).You can also there by train from Seville. "

"Stayed here for 7 days ( 2 sets of families , children aged 12 &17)The villa was very clean and great communication from booking to arriving back into the UK. We were met by Jorge,who gave us our keys and checked the water temp etc before leaving. We went shopping beforehand at Coin.The outdoor kitchen area is great, it has a fridge in there ,so stock up on beer etc , we used it everyday, the BBQ was lovely and big. The kitchen was equipped but could have done with extra bowls to serve food.The pool is lovely and there is plenty of space around the pool to chase the sun or sit in the shade. The seating area is good to chat with people or read a book. The way to the villa is off the main road but the track upto it is fine, we managed really well in a Focus and BMW. Area is peaceful.Ardales village is just a 5 mins drive with some great restaurants ( I wouldn't advise walking into village).We went to Caminito del Rey, which was lovely and well worth it ...about 20 mins away to the shuttle bus service.The only thing that the villa could have done with was another fan as the air-con is in the dining room only..this room would make a great living room as it has door leading out to the outdoor kitchen area, it could have also done with a parasol around the pool ( but thats my personal preference).Would recommend "
