"THIS IS A LITTLE GEM OF A PLACE, ITS GOT EVERYTHING YOU NEED LOADS OF ROOMS AND WELL EQUIPTED KITCHEN, WE ARRIVED IN A VAN WITH A MOTOBIKE ON THE TRAILER, THE ACCESS IS ON A DIRT TRACK TO THE HOUSE WHICH IS TIGHT, BUT ONCE PARKED UP THE BIKE WAS MODE OF TRANSPORT NO ISSUES, THE AREA IS STUNNING THERE ARE 2 HOUSES BEING BUILT TO THE REAR, BUT NO WORK WAS CARRIED OUT WHILE WE WAS THERE. We used 4 spacious bedrooms and there was a large loft as well with 10 single mattresses which we didn't use. You have to drive 12km up in the mountains on a very well maintained bandy road with beautiful views and through few tunnels. "Very cool little chalet/cabin in La Sage (Evolene). Best for 2 people max. and despite the size, having 2 floors to spread is decent. The outdoor balcony/deck facing the mountain...esp with the great weather makes in a gem. Plenty of hiking right around the village too. Will rent the larger one next time, if available"

"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"We stayed here for a week during the first week of July and had a wonderful time in this beautiful secluded chatel set in the mountains above Morzine. This was our 4th trip to the area in summertime but our first time that we hadn't stayed in an apartment. We decided to push the boat out a little this time and it was well worth it. "The chalet is very nice and typical for the neighbourhood. Everything you need is in there. There is a very nice view, we really enjoyed the terace for breakfast and diner. In between we explored the land of St. Bernhard. Terence sent us a very good explanation by forhand about everything and housekeeper Nicole was also very quick with her respons (we had one question)."

"Les Alouettes was as described. A great chalet for two families of four with extra 2 beds on a mezzanine. It was a shortish walk to a button/T-bar lift/bus to gondola - we used hire car to go to car park nearer lifts as too far for children in ski-boots. Not many food shopping outlets so worth getting a shop delivered (very efficient Coop service). The chalet was really comfortable with very good facilities for cooking (we didn't eat out at all).
