"We booked two apartments for our family and had a very enjoyable stay. The kids especially loved spending time in the pool! The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. As many other guests have mentioned, the property could use some updates, but overall, we had a good experience. The apartments were clean when we arrived, and the location was very convenient, just a 12-minute drive from La Rochelle. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay!"

"Great location for La Rochelle with everything right outside the hotel. We had a comfort room and it was small, so I would recommend upgrading if you can. Great breakfast selection but get down early. It's a quirky hotel, very prison block style inside! People walking through the breakfast area with their cases was a bit strange. Disappointing that the bar was closed during August. No room service or evening meals, just breakfast. Rooms cleaned daily but service was inconsistent. We had two rooms, the second room had bottled water and extra toilet rolls left every day, the first room didn't! Not something we complained about, but it was annoying. Overall it was good for a short stay."

"Lovely hotel. Great location. Just on the outskirts of the main town (a 1/2 min walk until the main town / market area) Lovely clean room. The most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel."

"The room was large and the bed comfortable. Good size bathroom. A fan was provided as no air-conditioning. The only downside was the window did not open and had a closed shutter on the outside. Not too much of a problem as only slept there but initially it felt a little claustrophobic. Great location. Would stay there again but only in a room with a window you could see out of and opened."

"We stayed at the residence for 3 weeks, the staff and the director were very helpful, We are elderly, some of the rooms do not consider this, and this should in my opinion be made available. Hotels.com was useless in resolving our issue, spoke to a supervisor who was useless. plenty to say but did not resolve our problem. my wife and I resolved it by communicating with the directors, who then understood our issue and quickly resolved it. One important issue, the fire alarm was activated one evening around 2230 hrs, there was no emergency evacuation procedure, and this should be resolved, with clear instructions on all accommodation doors, with a larger noticeable procedure in the main reception area. "Very well located hotel. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Only downside was the air conditioning in our room. We were there during the heatwave and mentioned our room issue with the reception twice with no follow up on their parts."
