4/5 - Good
Just a nice, friendly small town. The Walmart was impressive for such a small town. Being in the Bible Belt, all the coffee shops were closed on Sunday! Bummer!
While Jasper Heights isn't home to many top sights, Tyler Bend Recreation Area and Old Harrison County Courthouse are some notable places to visit nearby.

We were only passing thru on our way to Galveston.
I grew up in Marshall Circa late 50's - mid 70's, and of course one expects change, but it has not been for the better generally speaking. It seemed dirty, city roads w/lots of potholes; the Downtown Shops have extremely limited/odd hrs of business.
Not a bad little town. Most stores are north of the interstate.
Marshall is a nice, quiet southern city with lots of southern hospitality. The folks we encountered there were friendly and helpful during our brief stay.
