Beautiful Cottage

The cottage and surrounding property were gorgeous. Our family really enjoyed our visit next door to the Bear Creek Smokehouse and Country Store.

Perfect Cozy Cottage

Traveling Gals

Very convenient to Jefferson, Marshall and Carthage. Really enjoyed the back porch sitting with my cup of coffee and chatting with friends. The Bear Creek BBQ restaurant was really good and everyone there was so very friendly!

great spot for ETBU families

One of the nicer VRBOs that we've stayed at when visiting our ETBU student. Needed a little attention to cleaning baseboards and behind doors. Coffee machine is a Keurig and K cups were provided. Comfortable and plenty living room seating a dining seating. spacious rooms and master bath. Thank you for hosting.

Very Cute Cottage

Nice, peaceful place for a getaway. We stayed here because we were getting married at Enoch’s Stomp and it was a nice, roomy place near both Bear Creek & Enoch’s!

Lovely Stay!

Absolutely wonderful, clean and comfortable. Such a darling little cottage on a beautiful piece of property next to Bear Creek Smokehouse. No detail left undone to make this one of the best properties we have visited. Enjoyed our two night stay very much.

ETBU Weekend

It was a great house. A little Wi-Fi issue upon check in that was resolved the next day. We were so close to ETBU campus! We grilled one night and also enjoyed local eateries! The SPOT is an excellent breakfast place right down the road!

Lovely Cottage

Beautiful cottage in a quiet and relaxing setting! Spacious accommodations for a family of 6. Be sure to bring your own soaps & shampoos, but everything else is provided for a wonderful stay!

Amazing place

We immediately had such a relief and feeling of home when walking into the house. It was perfect for our family of 3 and we easily could have had two more adults stay with us. The kitchen was stocked with anything you needed. Thanks Bear Creek family!

Hippie 60 Birthday

My family gathered for my 60th birthday and came from New Orleans. The back porch was perfect for gathering and the house was so spacious. The beds and bedding were so nice. The acorns on the tin roof was a little frightening at times but country living at its best! Beautiful surroundings! We love the Shultz family and Bearcreek never disappoints!

2024 Family Christmas Trip

The place was amzazing and completely as described. Only had trouble with the internet. We could get on the WiFi but was getting the error message the whole time of no internet that a few of us needed for work. Other than that we would for stay here again.

This property was located out in the countryside of Marshall, Texas surrounded by lush green rolling hills and mature trees. The inside was lovely and had been renovated with all the modern amenities creating a warm and welcoming feeling.

Beautiful Setting

My family stayed here for two nights for two nights during the Thanksgiving weekend for a family event. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. I would definitely come back another time. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook your own meals if you were inclined although with Bear Creek next door there is no need at all to cook for yourself. The house is beautiful and the setting is so peaceful. The owner was readily available and extremely accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our country stay

This place was amazing. Everything we needed was there. The BBQ next door is also owned by the home owner and the food there was delicious. Owners stay behind home but not a bother at all being that we were on acres of land. I wish we could have seen the cows again like we did a time before but for som reason they were not out. If you are having doubts about booking don’t the stay was wonderful and peaceful at the same time. Will book again 😊
