About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Little Fox Cabin - Wolf Laurel, Hot tub, 4 bdm, 2 bath, cozy mountain escape!

Meet Little Fox Cabin. Nestled in the mountains of the gated Wolf Laurel community, you’ll enjoy winter views from extensive decking with year-round views of 5,000+ ft. peak Bald Mountain plus forested peek-through in summer.

In the Appalachian Mountains at 4,300 ft. elevation, Little Fox Cabin is the perfect retreat. Enjoy direct access to the Appalachian Trail and newly-rebranded Hatley Point boutique ski resort (formerly Wolf Laurel) 45 mins. from Asheville.

Little Fox cabin is the perfect all season escape, whether you’re cozying up next to the fire after a day of skiing, or enjoying some post-hike local brews from Asheville’s amazing beer scene and watching the sun set from the deck.

The cabin can sleep 8, but if you’re planning to spend a lot of time hanging in the living room/kitchen it will be more comfortable for 6 adults.

You'll find a modern, fully-updated kitchen and dining area overlooking the tree-lined mountain views. We have everything you need to stay in and cook. Sleep in and wake up to fresh coffee, or get up early for pancakes and a quiet mountain morning. We already have you set up with coffee, spices, and cooking oil.

Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of three queen-sized beds. The twin room is perfect for the kids but comfortable and spacious enough for two adults.

Cozy up by the fire with a glass of wine and a book or help us fill in a NYT crossword puzzle waiting for you. Rather Netflix and chill? We have you set up with Amazon Fire Sticks on both TVs. You can use these to log in to your streaming services or watch HBO Max and DirectTV Stream already set up.

The deck is our favorite place to enjoy the mountains and relax. Toast up s’mores around the fire table, sip on bourbon in our bodega glasses, light up the propane grill, or relax in the hot tub. And deer love to visit the backyard during sun set and early in the morning. So keep a lookout while hanging on the deck.

Little Fox Cabin is nestled mountainside at 4,300 feet. After a beautiful and windy drive up the mountain through the Wolf Laurel community, you’ll find our place on the right side of the road and drive down into the driveway.

Lovely Spring Break Getaway
Little Fox Cabin was the perfect place to spend a few days with the kids, enjoying nature (including 3 seasons in one day, ha!) and unwinding. The cabin is the right size- big enough for 5 people to hang out when we wanted family time and to space out when we didn't. The home is very clean and well stocked. Personalized touches like having coffee and creamer waiting and a bowl of candies for the kids made us feel welcomed. The linen is clean and abundant- soaps and shampoos are even provided. The only hiccup we ran into was that the previous guest had let the water in the hot tub get too low and the wind had uncovered half of the lid; by the time we refilled it, it was too cold to use on our first night. A letdown after our long drive, but that was our only negative. Everything else was fantastic. Will book again and highly recommend this space to others.

Cozy cabin in the woods
The Wolf Laurel cabin is a great option if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Asheville. The cabin is tucked away in a private gated subdivision and has all of the amenities you need for a nice, quiet, stay. I was disappointed in the instructions to get to the cabin. We were only given the address to the cabin which my Apple Maps took me to one of of the guard stand entrances that closes at 5:00 so we had to make an almost 30 minute trek to the other side of a mountain to the other guard entrance that stays open 24/7. I would suggest that the host provide the address directly to that guard stand to ensure guests do not arrive at the wrong guard stand. You also may want to bring box fans or additional cooling options for the upstairs since there is no A/C there. Highlights overall were that the cabin jacuzzi was amazing. It was very clean and the perfect way to end a busy day of sightseeing.

A Much Needed Family Getaway
The house was fantastic. Enough space for our group of 8 (5 adults, 3 kids AND 2 of the 3 kids are 14+). The kitchen was very functional with literally everything we needed plus. The entire house was exceptionally clean. The living level back deck is amazing. It's spacious with plenty of seating and offers frequent views of deer during the 7-8am hours and even more so after dark. The hot tub was great and frequently utilized after Pickle Ball, hikes, etc. The maintenance guy who came by was friendly and chatted with us/answered questions about functionality. We did run low on propane early in our stay but Jess was a perfect (& patient) host who arranged with their handyman a swing by to collect empties and exchange for refills. Our dog made the exchange difficult as the first attempt occurred while we weren't at the property and Brewer didn't like the idea of "strangers in the house". We were able to resupply the following day and marshmallow roasting, hotdogs, burgers and the like we're enjoyed. The beds were comfy per all and sleep was never an issue despite going at the end of July. There is a basement level that could be finished to accommodate a larger group stay or additional 'fun stuff' (pool table, etc.) but all in all my entire group had a blast. I would absolutely recommend a stay at Little Fox Cabin and might just check availability for another stay in the cooler months... 9/10 for sure.

Great get away!
Beautiful cabin way up on the mountain! It was the most well stocked place we have ever stayed. Bedding, sheets, and linens were very soft and comfortable! It was 95 degrees at home and a high of 74 degrees up on the mountain, making the hot tub amazing!!! Thank you so much! We had a great time!
