"Nice breakfast area and food to enjoy every morning. Next door is a hammam (Turkish bath) which we enjoyed very much. We had the loft which is a building across the street, 2 bathrooms (with washing machines) and very spacious. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes walk down to the tram station, and not too far uphill to Taksim. Different from a big faceless big hotel. Highly recommended."

"Lovely boutique hotel in an old restored building on a quiet street very close to shopping, restaurants, and waterfront. The staff was so welcoming and patient with our almost non-existent Turkish. The owner does speak English and was a great help with directions, bus schedule, and recommendations. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served in a pleasant courtyard. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and WiFi worked well. "

"The worst. Dirty mattress with big stains. Advertised air-conditioning had never been fitted never existed all there is is a pedestal fan and that doesn't work. Shower cubicle is falling from its mountings. Shower head missing. Street is very noisy although its a back street. Convenient location for ancient Istanbul "

"The location is quite nice. I enjoyed the view of the sea from the private terrace. I enjoyed walking the tangled cobblestone streets. I was happily lost in them as in a dream. However my driver also became lost at the very end of the shuttle. There is no indication whatsoever from the outside. It's essentially invisible. It is not set up like a hotel; no front desk, no employees on site. It is more like an old apartment building. The shuttle price was 20 Euro more, each way, than advertised....

"NO LIGHTS in our room the whole stay !! I keep telling them but then they’d cut off the main power leaving us with no power no wifi the whole night. On a day or two, there would be power or “electricity” to them, but NO LIGHTS in our room. The toilet lid and soap dispenser were hanging on to dear life. Came home 1 night and there was white dust/sediments all over the bed, table, our clothes and bags. Language barrier was a MAJOR problem. BUT it was near to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand...
