A bright spacious private timber cabin, on a beautiful 11acre off-grid property!
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful cabin in a gorgeous location! Elke had lit the fire for us already so it was warm and welcoming. Has everything you need, including lots of firewood to stay warm - the bathroom is very cold though, so take slippers and jumpers. Braidwood is a nice town to visit and get some supplies, then we spent most of our time reading and watching the birds. The little trail through the woods is a good outing, but the guidebook isn't lying when it says to watch out for leeches - they WILL crawl up your trouser leg, they WILL bite you *through* your sock, and they WILL drop off several hours later so well fed that you'll think you accidentally brought a slug in. Even with this leech this was a perfect winter getaway and we can't recommend it enough!"

"Elke is the most wonderful host, with prompt and helpful communication. Even the beautiful pictures and accurate description of the property do not do it justice, there is creative detail and care in every corner. We spent two cosy evenings there, warmed by the beautiful wood fire, watching the brightest stars in the sky we have ever seen, admiring the beautiful interiors and artworks created by the hosts, and enjoying the lack of digital distractions. The guest book is filled with heaps of helpful information, we loved the coffee at Deadwood and the trail to Big Hole and Marble Arch. Thank you, Elke and Christopher, we hope we’ll be back! "An excellent little tiny home on a farm. From the house you cannot see any other people or buildings, but you can hear the noise from the highway (which wasn't bad, just unexpected).
The owner was lovely and very responsive, the tiny home was warm and minimalist, and the property was very peaceful.
My only suggestion is that they do a good clean as although it was tidy, the crockery and utensils were greasy, and the frypan and saucepan had remnants so had to be washed before use.
Just a note that there is only one hotplate on the induction cooktop, something I didn't consider in my plan to cook two things at once."
"The house was beautifully styled and was very comfortable and cosy. All the rooms were very well equipped with all the necessities required for a comfortable stay. The garden was gorgeous, great for quality family time. The host Sarah was very easy to communicate with. Check in and out was very smooth. Thank you! "
