"Room very clean with a couple maintenance repairs needed.Staff a real plus here. Love parking right by the room which really makes loading/unloading great. Breakfast could use some added variety like oatmeal, juice, fruits. I’ve stayed several times and consider it a value find where I’ll stay again."

"The cabin was excellent in every way. The property is private and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We enjoyed the sunsets and watched the clouds and weather move in from the newly expanded covered back deck. The cover provided shade and allowed to us to sit outside and watch the rain move through. We used the grill several times during our stay. The grilling/picnic area was convenient for us as we like to stay in some days and enjoy a meal while we take in the view. Inside, the cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin had all the other amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the shades throughout help keep the cabin a comfortable temperature. The town of Marion is a real gem. We visited the shops, restaurants, and the greenway path at the Joseph McDowell historical center. The cabin is only a couple of miles from town and made travel to Marion and surrounding areas like Black Mountain very convenient. We visited hiking trails and the beach at Lake James.Michael is a great host. He provided a handy digital guide before our arrival. Check-in was flawless. Michael also made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. Overall, this was an excellent experience and we will stay again in the future."

"Property was very well taken care of newly renovated, with excellent decor. Owner was very responsive. Nice quiet place where my family and enjoyed ourselves and some amazing hiking in the Linville gorge. If your grilling be aware you are in bear country and they may want to come check out what’s for dinner. I would go back in a second."

"Everything was amazing, was exactly what the pictures showed and was very clean and relaxing for our quick little get away. Only thing we thought was the view was amazing from the top floor and it would also been amazing from main level if the trees were trimmed a little. But it was a great cabin and close by our family that live there and we will be back again."
