"This is a great place for any couple's retreat, a student trying to work with no distractions, or simply a place to get away from the city nosies, and light pollution that comes with it, drive carefully on the dirt road to leads up to the property itself, and youll be fine. "Living in CA in this economy we share our home with our 4 adult children and grandbaby and let me say this was a much needed get away. It was secluded, quiet and beautiful. Exactly what this overworked and overstimulated gen x couple needed. We drove through Joshua Tree national park during the day and enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi at night. 10/10 and can’t wait to go back. "

Cowboy Cabin: Peaceful, Remote, Serene and Dog-Friendly

Great little cabin!
"This cabin was exactly what I was looking for. It’s in “themiddleofnowhere” 1 1/2 mi down a sand rd off the main hwy in Landers. Here the desert is gridded with these rds, some more passable than others. Back in the day this was a homesteaded area where you got 5 acres and required to build a dwelling at least 400sq ft. This was one of those, I think. The outside looks a bit weather worn but the inside is as cute and functional as can be with everything you need. Know that it def is not the Ritz but absolutely the best if you’re looking for quiet, secluded solitude w/ all the amenities (good wifi, Sat TV, nicely stocked kitchen & bath) The owner was friendly and great at communicating every bit of info you could need. I think this place was the best part of my stay. Exploring JT National park and the whole area was wonderful but returning to our cabin to sit outside with a coffee or beer to listen to the wind and watch the sunset was like “Ahhhhhh..”"

Great Stay away from Everything!
"This is a great property, and the hosts were very responsive and easy to contact.This property is fantastic! The 50s/60s features all work perfectly, and they look great! The hosts have done an excellent job making the property welcoming and fun. The beds are super comfortable, and the A/C works very well. The hot tub is ready to go when you get there, and the combination gas/charcoal grill is perfect for any amount of food you want to cook. The game room is super fun and provides a third bed/sleeping area. This property is great for couples, friends, or even larger groups. It's not set up for big parties (which is a good thing), but your family will definitely enjoy the space. We will be coming back!"

"Property is as represented on VRBO. Super cute decor. Stargazing from the hot tub at night was a highlight for sure. Very comfortable and solid amenities. A few glitches like no kitchen towels, funky dish soap dispenser that didn’t really work well, and not enough toilet paper or paper towels for our stay, plus the floors were gritty and the hot tub didn’t seem very clean. But the place is cute, easy to get to town & Joshua Tree. I would stay here again. "
