We are always available 24/7 for any questions or problems. We can be contacted vie email or phone during your stay. Although we do not reside in Margaret River, we have a fabulous Housekeeper who just lives around the corner and is available to attend any emergencies.

Selador is perfectly located between pristine Prevelly Beaches and bordering onto the Leeuwin Naturaliste National park, Selador is in the heart of the South Wests Wine Region. Wineries such as Cape Mentelle,Voyager Estate amd Leeuwin Estate are only a 5 minute drive. Margaret River Town centre also 5 minute Drive by car offering fresh local produce stores, markets and conveniences.

Selador is an architecturally designed rammed earth home with large windows, oak flooring and beautiful gardens, all set on 14 acres of private bushland. With spectacular views from all open space areas and bedrooms, this home has been designed to capture the beauty of the surrounding bush. There is decking that opens out to landscaped rock and native bush gardens with sitting and entertaining areas.

The space is ideal for:
* Couples wanting a romantic getaway
* Small Family groups wanting to be close to town and the beach.
* Can sleep 4 people comfortably

MAIN BEDROOM
The Spacious main bedroom has a king sized bed, large ensuite with Spa bath, double shower and heated flooring. There is also a separate toilet and walk in wardrobe. Please note: No blinds on the upper windows, so light in the mornings. Fantastic to wake up and see high into the tree tops.
Adjacent to this room is a study/office and offers a workspace and reading nook.

SECOND BEDROOM
The second bedroom is found at the opposite end of the home.
Has a king sized bed with an ensuite which includes shower and toilet. This room has private access to outside decking area and has a built in wardrobe.

LIVING AREA
Large freestanding double sided stone fireplace transforms the living room into a contemporary living space. The area encompasses a lounge room down one end and a vibrant dining area up the other.

DINING AREA
Located on the other side of the stone fireplace is the dining area featuring a large 6 seater dining table.
Huge glass doors open out onto the Deck area overlooking the grassland.
Weber family sized BBQ and outdoor seating for 6 people on the deck area.

KITCHEN
Entertaining is made easy with this beautiful kitchen featuring a double sink, gas cooktop, electric oven, Miele dishwasher, granite bench tops with a large island encompassing bar stools.
Nespresso coffee machine with tea, coffee and milk
Welcome gift upon arrival featuring local bottle of Margaret River wine and chocolate.
Lovely breakfast nook is located just to the side of the kitchen perfect to enjoy that morning paper and coffee. You may even catch one of our resident kangaroos grazing on the grassed area.

LAUNDRY
In between the two bedrooms is a European laundry with a Miele washer and dryer. There is also a guests toilet located next to it. This area opens out to a rear deck

Please note that there are no blockout blinds. There a high windows which give views of the surrounding bush, however also the morning light. Bring Eye mask if sensitive to early mornings.

Fans and a energy efficient designed home to keep cool in summer months.

We really enjoyed our stay at Selador . Coming from Victoria we had mostly stayed in Park Cabins and decided to go up- market for a little while . The bush setting was most enjoyable and it was only a short drive from Margaret River as well.

Wonderful peaceful location within your own bush land. Lots of wildlife come to visit and is only a short car trip to Gnarabup beach. Close to all the major wineries and also Margaret River township. Architecturally designed rammed earth property well thought out for two couples.

The house is as advertised. Enjoyed seeing the kangaroos in the morning. Breakfast nook was well used in the evening, discussing the days outings and the vineyards visited. BBQ was sparkling clean. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful environmental home. I loved lounging on the many indoor wooden benches. The house was completely clean with no dust. The windows and light everywhere were wonderful. The portable heaters were much appreciated allowing us to heat our daughters room. The outdoors was beautiful. My wife and parents loved the bed mattresses. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Loved the peaceful surroundings and had a very restful stay at Selador. However we were disappointed to find that the property did not meet our expectations in terms of finish and quality. It is rather tired and could do with a freshen up but the marketing and photographs of the property suggest otherwise.

Watch out for the gardeners who turn up without ANY warning and make a lot of noise - when you're laying in bed at this supposed private bush retreat!?! We were lounging in bed on our wedding anniversary on the first morning of our stay here, when suddenly the gardeners appeared. Two of them. Not only did they get the lawnmowers going, they also had brushcutters, chainsaws and blowervacs - all going at the same time and making a LOT of noise - including RIGHT OUTSIDE our open bedroom window/door (note there isn't any curtains/blinds). Not a very peaceful and private start to our holiday - so much for a private bush retreat! The owners completely avoided us, but eventually their rental agent rang us back after we had put up with the gardners noise for about an hour (by which time we'd had enough so we sent the gardners away, as the owners & agent did nothing about it). We were told that the gardners are rostered on EVERY fortnight (REGARDLESS if people are staying there) something that they'd obviously forgotten to mention to us at any point. It isn't even mentioned in their information booklet. In fact their info booklet directly says "the only time you may see other people is when you leave the property"!? Obviously not true. Gardners (like cleaners) should come in BEFORE check-in and in between guests when the property is vacant (that's what the time between the 10am checkout to 2am check in is for - to make the property ready for the next guests.) Despite that major intrusion at the beginning of our stay - the property and the house is really nice. It is however starting to look a little tired and requires some maintenance, plus perhaps some matching cutlery and crockery and new pots & pans etc. We won't be coming back here again, and we come to Margaret River a lot. There are other private bush retreats available in Margaret River, without noisy gardeners!

Selador was the perfect holiday retreat. Set amongst the trees with wallabies visiting in the morning. Beautifully appointed, enormous rooms and bathrooms with a cosy fireplace. Close enough to walk to the White Elephant cafe in gorgeous Prevelly in the morning. We loved it!!!

We had a fabulous family stay at Selador. The property looked excellent in the photos but exceeded our expectations. The kitchen is to a high spec with all the cooking equipment we needed and more than just the basics provided. The bathrooms are a highlight too, our kids loved the huge open shower and we enjoyed the double shower and spa bath aswell. The 360deg fire place is beautiful and there was plenty of fire wood provided for us to enjoy each night. A hot outdoor shower in the beautiful bush surrounds was also a bonus! The host provided everything we needed. Overall fabulous private bush location and a fabulous property! We will be back again.
