"We booked 2 twin rooms through expedia and when we arrived we were told that only one room was booked Two of us had to get a single room at an extra cost of just under 30 euros each I spoke to the manager the next morning and he is blaming expedia and told me i must ring them to get a refund I feel like i have been fobbed off"

"The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. We had a good stay and helpful advice on where to eat in the evening. The hotel is in the best location and we found parking easy outside on Sunday."

"This was a highlight of our 2-week trip to France. The chatelet and property are just beautiful, and, as a musician, the history of the property was just magical. The host is so welcoming and generous with her advice about local attractions. She made us dinner reservations at a charming bistro that was the best meal of our trip, and sent us on the most wonderful local drive. Breakfast was perfect. If you are near Compiegne, you won’t regret a night or 2 or 3 at the Villa du Chatelet."
