"The sweetest staff!! We quickly booked this hotel after flight issues that had us stuck in Rome for 2 days, and not able to afford last-minute Rome stays during high season, we headed to the coast. It was honestly the best accidental stay I could have ever asked for. Like everywhere in Anzio, the hotel itself is very dated, but it's CLEAN and comfortable. Very close to the train station and a fantastic seafood restaurant, plus a great view of the water and overall so peaceful. You can hear neighbors fairly easily with chairs scraping the floor above and doors closing in the hallway, but I imagine that's the norm with the old buildings and we weren't too bothered. Breakfast was lovely with a staff member taking orders for coffee and tea and offering a very wide spread of sweet and savory items. I was impressed!"

"We stayed at Hotel Riviera and enjoyed it. I rented four rooms and price was fair. The rooms are clean and has what you need. WiFi solid but not super fast. Breakfast basic but nice selection of cakes and good coffee. View from the adjacent veranda is very nice. If you stay in May there is no air conditioning so you will rely on the nice tradewinds and ocean breeze. More Americans and Brits should visit Anzio and visit the museum honoring all those who fought and died on the beaches and hills to free Europe and end WW2. The people at the hotel are very nice and helpful. Be prepared to walk from train to hotel. "

"The property was exceptional but I was disappointed by the welcome from the host. They made no attempt to contact me prior to my visit and I had to contact them. Details of how to access the property were not given until I asked for them. If I book a property I expect the hosts to contact me immediately to welcome me and give me essential details like directions and how to pick up the key. Also the listing and even their own brochure stated a check out of 11.00 am but I was told I had to leave by 10.00am No mention was made of the tourist tax which would have ben useful to know in advance. The owners also expected me to empty the bins using a complicated system of a card to access the various different containers. I don't think guests should be expected to do this."

"Excellent hotel in a perfect location.The room was spotlessly clean, as was the entire hotel, and the marina view we had from our room was worthy of a postcard. The staff was amazingly accommodating. Great complimentary breakfast! Minor detail: The bathroom shower was a bit on the tiny side and had a tight door opening. If you a have mobility issues that might be important."

"Great location, very central close to the town square, port, beach and railway station. Property is ideal very clean and well equipped with nice touches for guests. Communication with host was very good too, will come back if in area"

"Everything was good and satisfactory. Location near the sea and the resort pool was amazing. Staff kind, friendly and helpful. Enjoyed tennis and archery. Our holiday was ruined by theives the day we left the resort in the theme park carpark minutes after we left. This had a very bad effect on us. The police was not helpful and couldn't care less."
