"A great hotel in a great location. Whenever I come to Baku I usually stay here. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Other strong points are the bar/ restaurant, fitness center, and the 24-hour room service. Definitely, so room service one morning and order the Azerbaijani breakfast with tea. The views are also good looking out onto either Winter Park or the picturesque and historic Kubinka neighborhood, which I hear might unfortunately be demolished. The only negative thing I have to say is that the showers are designed oddly with one side completely open. If you’re not careful you can accidentally flood the bathroom, so ask for extra towels on your first night in case you get water all over the floor. Overall, a great hotel."

"The Fairmont is a centrepiece of Baku. The hotel staff are phenomenal, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and pleasantly decorated. The reception is welcoming. We were met by Survan who was exceptional. His attention to detail to ensure your stay with them was paramount. He went above and beyond and a credit to the hotel chain. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal were superb. A young Manager in Le Bistro was very engaging and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Recommended to stay at this hotel, don’t waste your time staying anywhere else in Baku. "
