You just have to sit on your balcony and look out at the warm white sands, where you can search for colorful shells while the kids go skimboarding, or you can find a secluded spot to sit and watch dolphins play in the surf and pelicans swoop down in search of fish.

The turquoise ocean, sparkling in the sun, is the ideal place to snorkel for an up-close view of marine life, or to take a parasailing cruise or charter a fishing a boat. Beside the ocean, warm lagoons are surrounded by mangroves. Walk alongside them until you reach the shell hunter’s paradise of Sand Dollar Island.

No list of Marco Island attractions is complete without the spectacular sunsets of Tigertail Beach, and there’s no better vantage point than the beach, where you can sip an ice cold cocktail and watch the setting sun paint the sky orange.
