"Beautiful room, could do with a fridge and outdoor seating. Staff warm, friendly and helpful. Dead flies on walls. Nice furnishings. They want to be eco but provide paper cups. Asked to save water but sink loses its water so could do with better sealing plugs. Overall a nice comfortable two night ..."

Marble Canyon Lodge has been around since the 1920s. There is a historical marker about the Dominguez-Escalante expedition in 1776 that came through here looking for a route to Monterey.

If you are used to city life this is definitely not that. This is a very small, remote town on the Colorado River, with few modern conveniences. Very dry, desert climate. Internet is spotty and slow at best. Beautiful natural area.
