The property is in the small community of Marathon, about 1/4 mile from the main road through town, US 90. This is a great place to stay for quiet and contemplation.

This home is so cute and unique. It fits in perfect with the town of marathon. There are two look out towers that you can go on and get an awesome view of the property and there are some cool buildings you can explore! This home has everything you need and is just a 2 minute drive from the gage hotel!

Very comfortable rock house addition to a travel trailer in a little eco-village of various artfully recycled materials. Ingrid was a very nice and helpful host. Nice views and native plants to enjoy. Would highly recommend a stay if you are into alternative architecture, recycling, tiny houses, environmental awareness, or just need a quiet getaway. Hope to visit again.

Ingrid was very friendly and helpful with getting me settled into my cabin and shared info on local events. The cabin itself was very cute and cozy for my little one lady retreat. The property is eclectic and beautiful with a great view of the mountains.

For lack of a better phrase this place has great energy. The cottage is so cozy and well designed/appointed and waking up in the morning or strolling at twilight through this cluster of art-homes is a very special experience.
Everything is well run, hosts are friendly and easy going. Can’t wait to return.

Fun concept but little to dusty/unkept. Compared to El Cosmico in Marfa , it was night and day .

Ingrid is such a delight and made us feel right at home in the stone cottage of her experimental property. Built out of all recycled materials it felt like a brand new bnb. Very clean and lots of amenities would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway to Marathon. La Loma del Chivo is a neat place with tons of history. Ingrid and Guil are very accommodating and nice folks. A very laid back place to sit around a fire and view the star lit sky. We will definitely stay here again.

Simple quirky accommodations, wonderful stargazing, very cool property! This will be my starting point for future hikes at Big Bend. Also my stopping point to recuperate for a day after the OML. Awesome!

Ingrid and Guil were excellent hosts and responsive to all our requests. The guest house was kitted out with everything we needed. The bedding and towels were clean and the artistic community of La Loma Del Chivo is quiet and the perfect spot for stargazing after a beer and dinner in Marathon, which is just a couple minutes away. As a professional photographer it was great to be so near civilization, but without the ever-present light pollution that generally accompanies it. Our stay was very pleasant and we hope to visit again.
