"Santavenere is a fabulously elegant property. The grounds were beyond compare. And the service was also impeccable. Our only issue was the availability of food after breakfast. The hotel has a pool restaurant that we used twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Neither experiences was acceptable. We were the only guests both time. The restaurant at the hotel is highly rated but does not start serving until 8pm. We don’t eat that late. What added to the problem was the surrounding area which...

"We ended a Ciclismo Classico bike tour in Maratea and so enjoyed the relaxing surroundings at La Locanda delle Donne Monache. We tagged on 2 extra nights at the hotel…I could have remained there for an entire week!! The only “downgrade” is the firmness of the mattresses ( we stayed in 2 different rooms). I found the mattresses throughout our tour across southern Italy to be quite firm. No big deal, though, as we slept soundly and comfortably at La Locanda."

"Oh my, it was Easter day when we arrived 3pm. So accommodating, they showed us to our room and the mini bar. Beautiful place, our room had the balcony looking out to the ocean. every hour you could hear the church on the mountain bells. Breakfast was great also cappuccino's and fresh baked goods and fruit. A walk to the beach down the hill was a delight!!! Beautiful weather wonderfull people. Very close to the sky walk. Stay Here!"

"What a joke. They advertise all these wonderful amenities and when we arrived there was absolutely nothing available. No spa, no beach, no tennis, no laundry facilities, no hair salon. We would never have stayed here if we had know. When we complained they offered us a free drink! I have complained through the hotel and the refuse to respond and tried to get a refund from Expedia with no luck. Don't go to this hotel if you are expecting lots to do.....there is nothing!"

Note dolenti: letto matrimoniale composto da due letti singoli , stanza non insonorizzata e assenza di tapparelle per ridurre la luce nelle prime ore del mattino. Il tutto però è stato superato dalla gentilezza del personale e dalla colazione abbondante e veramente deliziosa, che ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre esigenze. Consigliato!"

"We loved the pretty riverside walks from the hotel, and the sound of the river at night time. Our room was simple, but clean. A cot was provided for our baby. The staff were all friendly. We would stay here again."

"The place was simply amazing! The view on the little town of Bosco was so beautiful, and possible to see from the bed. The breakfast was in a lovely olive orchard, which made us feel like royals each morning. The location is good, close to different towns and beaches. The host, Rocco, was really kind and helpful. "Struttura nuova in posizione decentrata, fuori dalla confusione. Parcheggio comodo. "We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots! "
