"Well, checking in was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. I’ve stayed at the 4 seasons and the Motel 6. Advice is do the ID screening with plenty of time ahead, but also do not worry if you are not given immediate check in instructions. There is a person on duty at all times who can help you. ……but, the next day the manager was over the top, completely took responsibility and alleviated my concerns. The location and hotel are 10/10 perfect, clean and spacious, the bed is located away from the window and the deep cement walls give quiet and privacy right in downtown Minneapolis. I walked everywhere, light breakfast and complimentary coffee/snacks and sodas. Staff was helpful and friendly."

"We fly into Minneapolis frequently and have stayed at lots of other hotels but finally found one that fits all our needs. Very close proximity to places we go & family we see. Has a pool & hot tub for relaxing and the breakfast is unbelievable. We also like that there's a bar in the lobby for a night cap."

"The Wifi is the worst we've ever encountered and it has always been bad at the Normandy. I also don't appreciate a little lotion bottle with a tiny opening that is impossible to dispense any lotion. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this charming, old world inn."
