"As a couple we stayed at this hotel on 1st May 2024. The reason we chose, was because it would accept pets, and we have 2 dogs. The hotel is happy to accept them, as long as they are well behaved. In addition you need to be aware that you are liable for any damage. This was not a problem for us as our dogs are well trained and responsive. I would imagine humans cause a lot more damage! We paid about €80 for our room, which was clean, tidy and spacious. There was a fridge, coffee machine, and good size private bathroom in our room. There is a good size swimming pool as well! We were also delighted that the price included breakfast, which was very good and covered everyone's needs (ie veggie, etc). Its about 2KM into town and there is a busy road outside with nor pavement. However, we ordered a pet friendly UBER taxi each way, which cost us €4 each time, and made life very easy. This hotel is well worth a try, especially if you wish to bring your dog/cat etc, and we will certainly use it again, when we next visit Tavira. Finally, we received great service from Raul, behind reception. He was kind, courteous and a credit to the hotel"

"I stayed at Casa Betel with 5 friends and the villa truly exceeded our expectations. Wonderfully spacious with lots of bathrooms and gorgeous garden and pool area. We particularly loved the heated pool and outdoor eating area. These were all cleaned and tidied on the Friday of our stay but it didn’t take long. We didn’t have a BBQ but maybe next time! We loved that the kitchen was well equipped too, although we thought if we were cooking for more people we may have struggled with the single oven. The dishwasher and washing machine were so handy. Location wise, it was quiet (but we were in off season). Other reviewers said beware of the cockerels but they didn’t bother me and the sheep were cute. Loved Santa Rota itself. Not at all built up or too touristy. A few nice shops and restaurants (I’m sure more open in high season). The beach, sand dunes and boardwalk were all glorious. All in all a perfect ladies get away, I’m sure we will be back! Thank you"

"The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!"

"Lovely spacious property and garden. Well equipped for our needs. Close to shops and cafe/bars and easy walking to beach only a few minutes away. Nice quiet area. Would definitely book again but would need to have wi-fi in place first. It was a little difficult without it trying to plan days out and ordering taxi. Also for checking in for return flight. We had to keep going to a cafe with wi-fi to do what we needed to do on the Internet. The lady who looks after the property is very welcoming and super helpful. All in all a great stay."
