"Great location, friendly staff, homely amenities, and cozy atmosphere. The whole point of visiting Fairbanks was to see the northern lights in person, and Northern Sky Lodge did not disappoint. Granted we were a bit lucky with clear conditions and aurora activity, but we could literally walk outside the lodge and see the lights in action! Just a heads up - the lodge is a bit far from the main town of Fairbanks, so we bought groceries on the way from the airport for our stay. The lodge provides a simple breakfast and full kitchen facilities for every cooking need, and the staff were very helpful and responsive to our questions. We were surprised at how warm we could be in the lodge as well, as each room and the common areas come equipped with a heater. Puzzles, games, included wifi, and lovely views were a bonus as well. If I were to visit Fairbanks again, this is the only location I would consider booking for the best view of the northern lights. Crossing the lights off my bucket list and I hope whoever’s reading can cross them off too at Northern Sky Lodge! 🌌✅"
