"The property and rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Just like everywhere in your life, some of the people working at the resort were very kind and helpful, and some were not. I waited an excessively long time at check-in because of a glitch on their part. I had been driving for a long time and it was incredibly hot that week. Offering me some water would have been nice. I had arrived before dark and in time to walk around to get my bearings to make the most of the next day. By the time I was finally checked in and got my bag and parked, it was almost dark, so that did not happen. I stayed in the lodge and unfortunately, the beach and water activities and rentals were actually quite a distance away, despite there being a waterfront much closer to the lodge. They said because school had started up they didn't have adequate staff for lifeguards. The water was about knee-deep. As I said it was oppressively hot so that walk was actually really draining. I wanted to rent a bicycle but I had brought my purse and they did not have baskets for the bikes, so that didn't happen. Because the majority of the waterfront was closed, the tiny section that was open was super crowded. The music was unnecessarily loud. The restuarant was decent but a bit overpriced. Spa prices were ridiculous. The butterfly facility was really nice but not monitored and guests were harassing the butterflies. There is a daily resort fee, which I have no idea what it covered."

"Beautiful place . Super clean and peaceful . The host is very responsive . Enjoyed sitting on the swings out back . Has a ton of dvds & games for entertainment . Only downside was I wish we had stayed longer . Will definitely stay here again !"

"My experience and stay were great had a nice clean room with a beautiful view but when I was checking in the person at the front desk didn’t give me my ID back at check in and I didn’t realize it until I was back home in another state. Wouldn’t stop me from staying again….chances are I’ll be there the next time I decide to visit the area because it’s such a beautiful place."

"Place was very quiet and secluded, very well furnished kitchen, furnishings were comfortable, plenty of throws, if needed Very thorough guide was emailed before visit and available upon check in. (Maybe include direction for washing machine). Temperature downstairs was always comfortable. Bowl and bed were available for dogs. Books were provided in a variety of Genres. The TV is a great size. There is absolutely no yard, there is a steep incline, which can present a problem if you have a dog. The TV reception comes and goes, message says will be right back but it was more than an hour on a few occasions. There were many spider webs around the door, on the porches, and a few inside in the rafters and windows, live and dead bugs inside and mouse droppings upstairs. Upstairs Shower handle is backwards? A door handle on the inside of the front porch would be helpful when trying to close the door. Upstairs Shower - Maybe a sign to indicate how to get hot water to avoid wasted time, frustration, and water?"
